Some organizations have been threatened by the Administration in Washington. Others have had funding cut or face adverse legal actions. Many have been fighting back, including litigating – one of the more successful ways to defend democracy, so far. All of them need your support. (Please note: Not all are 501(c)(3), so please check each site carefully if you want your donations to be tax-deductible – although that's under assault, too.)

• Democracy Forward: "Democracy Forward is a national legal organization that advances democracy and social progress through litigation, policy and public education, and regulatory engagement."

• The Food Depot: "At The Food Depot, we believe no one should be hungry. Our work brings together communities and organizations across Northern New Mexico focused on free, accessible, healthy food for all."
• Lambda Legal: "Lambda Legal condemns in the strongest terms President Trump’s first actions in office which target LGBTQ+ people, everyone living with HIV, and communities of color. Be assured that we are prepared to challenge them in court. We have faced these challenges before, we know how to fight, and we know how to win."
• AARP: "AARP is sending a clear message that Social Security must be protected. We’re tracking new SSA initiatives and taking action when needed to ensure that all older Americans can safely access the benefits they’ve earned and get questions answered in ways that are best for them."
